Temporary Extended Returns in Response to COVID-19

For all items purchased between 2/1/20 and 6/17/20, we will accept returns through 8/1/20. Purchases made after 6/17/20 will be subject to our standard 45-day return policy.

Having second thoughts? No worries—we’re here to help! If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return your eligible items by mail or to your nearest U.S. Nordstrom Rack store within 45 days of the original ship date.

To confirm whether your item is returnable, check your invoice, email confirmation or Orders page.


  • Apparel, footwear, home and accessories (bags, sunglasses, leather goods, jewelry and watches) may be returned unless the item is marked Final Sale or Non-Returnable.
  • Returns on items received after these time periods are accepted at our discretion. Late returns that are accepted will be subject to a partial refund of 50% of their original sale prices. This will appear on your orders page as Late-Return Fee.
  • Items must be returned in their original packaging, including hangers, hang tags, dust bags, eyewear cases, shoe boxes and gift boxes when applicable.
  • Items must not be worn, altered or damaged.
  • Items purchased from Beauty events are final sale.
  • Eligible returns will be credited to your original form of tender or a gift card (gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law).
  • Please note, we reserve the right to refuse or limit quantities to anyone we believe may be purchasing items for resale. Sales to anyone management believes to be a reseller or bulk purchaser are final, and no exchanges or returns will be granted.
  • Nordstrom Rack stores in Canada are unable to accept returns for items purchased online at nordstromrack.com or hautelook.com.

Returning an item is simple! Just pick your return method to start the simple process.

Simply bring your invoice and eligible item(s) to a U.S. Nordstrom Rack store near you.
Send your item(s) back to us with the shipping label that we’ll provide.
Once you return an item it will not be available for immediate repurchase.
The return shipping fee is $5.95 for the U.S. and $10.95 for Canada. We’ll automatically deduct the fee from your refund.


  • If you placed your order using guest checkout, you can send your item(s) back to us by visiting Guest Returns >
  • If your guest order was shipped outside of the U.S., you must call Customer Service at 1.888.547.8438 to initiate your return.


  • Gift Recipients may return eligible gift items to Nordstrom Rack stores for in-store merchandise credit. Merchandise credit issued from store returns cannot be redeemed online.
  • In-store gift refunds will be issued as a Nordstrom Gift Card—redeemable online and in store at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and HauteLook.
  • To receive a refund to the original form of payment, the purchaser must return the item themselves either in store or by mail.


  • All returns will be refunded to your original form of payment.
  • Refunds for orders purchased with Nordstrom Gift Cards and/or Nordstrom Notes will be issued as a Nordstrom Gift Card and mailed to the original billing address. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law.


  • We do not make price adjustments on previous purchases. Savings are based on estimated comparison prices, which may be from the same or similar items from prior seasons. We strive to give you the best value; we encourage you to shop around.


  • Returns to a Nordstrom Rack store will be refunded to the original form of payment or gift card.
  • Mail-in returns with our prepaid return label will be refunded back to the original form of payment within 1-3 business days after we receive your return. Please allow 7-10 business days for your return to arrive at our Returns Center.

Note: It may take a few days until your bank posts the refund to your account.


Hautelook.com. has partnered with Landmark Trade Services Ltd., a licensed Canadian Customs Broker to provide international customers with an enhanced shipping and returning experience. Please note the Canadian clearance authority statement below.

Hautelook.com. is an approved CREDITS participant with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). By ordering goods from Hautelook.com., I hereby authorize Landmark Trade Services Ltd. an approved customs broker on CREDITS, to act as my agent, and to transact business with the CBSA, to obtain release of my merchandise, account for duties and taxes, control the return merchandise to Hautelook.com., and electronically submit refund claims on my behalf. Under CREDITS, I understand that the CBSA will send any refund of duties and taxes that were paid on the returned merchandise to the customs broker, and that I will obtain the refund directly from Hautelook.com. Further, I also authorize the customs broker to forward any refund issued by the CBSA in my name to Hautelook.com. so they can be reimbursed.
